Capri boat trips
The question you should ask yourself before planning a boat tour to Capri is what's important to you, infact you will get what you pay for.
With a shared boat trip around the island, you will get a formal but pretty and on budget circumnavigation of the island, with a possible stop at the Blue Grotto, so everyone could have the opportunity to go in the small boats to visit the cave.
Usually the tour boats tend to be a bit crowded but anyway comfortable. It's understandable that you won't be able to get the luxury you might have with a private tour, but with a low budget you will anyway sail around the stunning island of Capri and explore majestic sea grottos and visit the Faraglioni rocks.

Capri private boat tour, is worth it?
Usually the shared tour boats tend to be crowded and uncomfortable. It's understandable that the budget may be an issue, but for us the private boat tour is the way to go.
With a shared boat trip around the island, with probably 50 people and a stop at the Blue Grotto, as you can imagine, it could be a bit annoying waiting that everyone could have the opportunity to go in the small boats to visit the cave, especially if you are not keen on visiting the Blue Grotto. Furthermore on hot days, there are more than a few cases of sea sickness. With a private boat trip you wouldn't have that long wait.
With a Capri private boat tour, you could stop at any place you wish, swim, sunbath, go to all the nooks and crannies, get show all the history, visit all the grottos, not only the paid Blue Grotto, visit the Faraglioni rocks and get close to the very big and interesting yachts.
