Recently opened in a specially designed venue, the National Archaeological Museum entitled the 'Etruscans of the Frontier' collects artifacts from the Villanovan and Etruscan-Campanian center of Pontecagnano. It is a priceless heritage, of which the most significant core is represented by finds from over 9000 graves carved out in the necropolis of Pontecagnano in the last fifty years.
During the exhibition route, in the center you find the section dedicated to the the aristocracies of the Orientalizing period (late VIII - late seventh century B.C.), to which can be related some burials that, for the composition and quality grave goods, were defined 'princely'.
