During the Luci d'Artista 2025-2026 event, from November 14, 2025, to February 1, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM, a ban on parking and stopping for tourist buses is established throughout the municipal territory, as well as a ban on transit within the urban area (ZTL bus), which is bordered to the west by Via Ligea – at the entrance to the Commercial Port (Varco di Ponente), to the north by Piazza XXIV Maggio, to the east by Via G. Santoro, Via Diego Cacciatore (at the railway underpass), and Via Settimio Mobilio (at the railway underpass). Exceptions are made for regular buses and buses heading to city hotels with confirmed bookings, as well as those reserved for parking areas dedicated to the event.

Car Parking areas for Luci d'Artista event

During weekends, when a higher tourist influx is expected, it is advisable to head to the parking at Stadio Arechi, and then take the metro to reach the city center. Once you arrive at the "Stazione Centrale" metro stop, you can comfortably walk among the exhibition areas, as the main lights are concentrated between Corso Vittorio Emanuele and the Villa Comunale.

Camper Parking areas for Luci d'Artista event

During the festival Luci d'Artista, Salerno offers a dedicated area for camper parking to facilitate the arrival of visitors. The parking area is located along Lungomare Marconi, specifically in the Marconi area, and will be available until spaces run out. This is an ideal opportunity for those who wish to enjoy the magic of the illuminating art installations without the worry of finding accommodation.

Bus Parking areas for Luci d'Artista event

During the Luci d'Artista 2025-2026 period, designated BUS parking areas will be provided, and a parking ban for tourist buses is therefore established throughout the municipal territory. Any parking outside of the authorized areas will be subject to an administrative fine and vehicle immobilization with a special key tool.

As a result of this provision, to access the city, these vehicles must preferably book a bus parking spot in the designated areas, displaying the PASS BUS on the front window in a clearly visible position. The pass must be visible from the outside and printed in color on A3 format, authorizing transit and parking within the reserved area (following the path indicated in the booking confirmation voucher). In case of no reservation due to full availability, access to the city will not be allowed. To access the city, these vehicles must book a parking spot in the NON-CUSTODIAL areas:

  • PASS A: ARECHI STADIUM AREA

  • PASS M: MERCATELLO AREA (only usable on days when football matches are scheduled)

  • PASS H: HOTEL AREA AND ARECHI AREA


For Pass A holders (Arechi Stadium Area): Parking is authorized at the Arechi Stadium, and only passenger drop-off and pick-up are allowed at the M8 Metro (ARECHI) area. The parking area will be active every day during the *Luci d'Artista* event period, except for the days when Salernitana football matches are scheduled.

For Pass M holders (Bus parking area called: Mercatello): Parking is authorized in the Mercatello area, along Via Giovanni Paolo II, Via Fiume, and Via Corinna Bottiglieri. The parking area will only be available on days when football matches are scheduled during the *Luci d'Artista* event period.

For Pass H holders (hotel establishments): For hotels located near the Salerno central station, the designated parking is in Via CARELLA. If full, tourist buses will be directed to the ARECHI area. For hotels with private bus parking areas, transit is allowed exclusively for passenger pick-up and drop-off at the Arechi area (except on days with football matches), upon presentation of the hotel reservation voucher. After passenger drop-off, buses must proceed to the private parking area of the hotel.

For organizational reasons, bus parking reservations, from Monday to Friday, must be made by 4:30 PM on the day before arrival. Bus parking reservations for Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays must be made at least 48 hours before arrival, subject to availability. Payment can only be made by "Credit Card".
