Naples Capri ferry: what to know

If you are travelling from Napoli to Capri, you absolutely need to know that, in Naples, there are two ports where passengers board the ferry for Capri connected by a free shuttle service: Molo Beverello, where high speed ferries depart, and Calata Porta di Masso, where ferries and slow ferries depart. The two ports are less than a kilometer apart, and the Alibus airport shuttle stops at both. If you are arriving on a cruise ship, it docks at the pier adjacent to Molo Beverello.


Capry ferry schedule

Capri ferry schedules vary widely between the summer and winter seasons: the summer schedule is usually in effect from the beginning of April through the beginning of November. The schedule may also vary during the season, expecially during the high season, so we suggest double-checking the schedule a few days before your travel dates.

Capri from the Sorrento, Ischia, Amalfi Coast and Salerno

Routes for the Sorrento, Ischia, Amalfi Coast and Salerno are usually active from beginning of April to the end of October.

From Salerno to Capri

In Salerno, there are two ports of departure: Piazza Concordia and Molo Manfredi. Piazza Concordia is directly across from the train station where the high speed trains arrive; Molo Manfredi is a few kilometers away, and only from this you can board the ferry for Capri. If you are arriving on a cruise ship, it docks at the pier adjacent to Molo Manfredi.


From Amalfi to Capri

The Amalfi port for all ferry arrivals and departures is Molo Pennello in the town center. From there the main sights are within walking distance.


From Sorrento to Capri

The ferries and hydrofoils for Capri depart from Sorrento Marina Piccola which is below the downtown area. You can take a cab or catch bus from the upper downtown Sorrento to reach Marina Piccola.
